what we do

Strong Extension Systems

We strengthen sustainable agricultural extension by building the capacities of individuals, institutions, and systems.

Developing Human Capacities

AgReach builds human capacity and equips individuals with specific skills for extension service delivery and agricultural development. We develop and implement a wide variety of participatory tools, approaches, and trainings through a learning-by-doing process that empowers farmers, extension workers, researchers, and others to affect positive change in agricultural systems worldwide.

Strengthening Institutions

Effective institutions are a driver for positive and sustainable development outcomes and food security improvements. Through partnerships with public- and private-sector institutions and NGOs, AgReach strengthens institutional capacity to deliver effective programming that reaches more people with better quality services, coordinate with other service providers to leverage impacts, and link with research to access up-to-date information.

Improving Systems

Systems that function effectively are best able to leverage the strengths and capacities of individuals and organizations. AgReach engages agricultural systems at multiple levels to promote coordination and knowledge-sharing between key stakeholders, bridge gaps between service providers and end-users, amplify farmer leadership and input into systems, generate buy-in and support from decision-makers, and garner increased resources for agriculture and nutrition programming.
